Berry hill industrial park, phase 1

Owner: Danville Pittsylvania County Regional Industrial Facility Authority; Designer: Dewberry Engineers

Contract value: $3.8 million

Anticipated completion: February 2018

Site grading of approximately 170 acres to construct 4 pads for future development. Work also includes E&S control, site stabilization, clearing and grubbing, and storm water management.


cobbs creek reservior

Owner: Henrico County, Virginia

Contract Value: $50 million; Total Project Value: $280 million

Anticipated Completion: Spring 2021

Located on approximately 1800 acres in Cumberland County, Virginia, Cobbs Creek Reservoir is Henrico County's $280 million project to secure its drinking water needs for the next 50 years. The project consists of constructing 2 earthen dams, a water intake structure in the James River, a pumping station, and other facilities. Haymes Brothers has teamed with concrete contractor ASI Dams and mechanical contractor MEB for the project. Our scope of work includes clearing and grubbing the site, implementing erosion and sediment control measures, excavating over 3.2 million cubic yards of material for the reservoir, and constructing a coffer dam in the James River as part of the intake structure construction.


LAWYERS ROAD QUARRY

Owner: Boxley Materials Company

Location: Lynchburg, VA

Anticipated completion year 2018.

Stripping and stockpiling overburden material from Boxley’s Lawyers Road Quarry to facilitate the mining of rock used as aggregate. This is a 3 year contract with Boxley; Haymes Brothers will move 300,000 cubic yards per year.


NCDOT DIVISION 7 EXPRESS DESIGN-BUILD

Owner: North Carolina Department of Transportation

Location: Several secondary roads in Alamance and Orange Counties, North Carolina

Anticipated Completion: Fall 2017

Replacement of 11 bridges on secondary roads with pre-cast three-sided box culverts. Work includes removal of existing bridge and placement of diversion pipe, excavation, form and pour concrete strip footing or floor slab, placement of precast concrete sections, asphalt paving, guardrail installation, and pavement markings.


smith river interceptor CMP Rehabilitation and extension

Owner: City of Martinsville, VA

Engineer: Dewberry

Contract Value: $10.1 million

Anticipated Completion: November 2018

Work includes replacement and/or CIPP lining of approximately 2,050 linear feet of 36" pipe, 11,800 linear feet of 42" pipe, and 60 manholes. Pipe replacement utilizes ductile iron piping.
