Safety Champs

Haymes Brothers has been working with Hensel Phelps on the Mecklenburg County Industrial Expansion project for nearly 2 years now. On Monday February 13, 2017, Hensel Phelps designated Haymes Brothers's David Fuller as "Safety Champion" in recognition of our dedication to the strict safety policies that govern the job site, as well as the safety culture fostered within our entire company. We are proud of the effort we put into our safety program and are happy our clients are recognizing our efforts! Congrats to David and the rest of the Boydton crew. Great work, everyone!

Christmas Meeting 2015- A 50 Year Celebration

On December 21, 2015, the Haymes Brothers family joined together for the annual Christmas party. This year was extra special, however, because 2015 marked 50 years for Haymes Brothers as a successful business.

The founding brothers, Bill and Charlie Haymes, were in attendance along with their families. Both brothers enjoyed a few minutes of speaking with the employees about lessons learned from their past 50 years of experience, and expressed their sincere gratitude to every person that has contributed to HBI over the years.

Everyone enjoyed a catered bbq lunch with all the fixings, including dessert. As usual, all employees were sent home with food for a Christmas dinner, a bonus check, and new HBI apparel.

Merry Christmas and Happy 50th, Haymes Brothers! Looking forward to the blessings of the next 50 years.

Local Residents Show Appreciation for HBI

On August 15, 2015, residents local to a current HBI project in Roanoke County showed their appreciation for our work by dropping off snacks, water, and a heart-felt note for the on-site employees.

HBI is replacing spalled and cracked concrete under two bridges on I-81 over Texas Hollow Road. The project requires a lane closure on Texas Hollow Road with flagmen and one way traffic; this has been in place for over two months. Although the closure is an inconvenience to the neighborhood residents, we are grateful that the residents understand that occasional inconvenience must sometime be endured to make the roads safer.

HBI Founders Reunite in Mecklenburg

HBI founders brothers Charlie and Bill Haymes reunite with first cousin Bud Haymes over the 4th of July holiday weekend. The trio spent the day supervising construction activities on the Mecklenburg County Industrial Park Expansion project where Bill's grandson, Keith Bishop, serves as project manager.

Christmas Meeting 2014

It is a family tradition, and therefore a company tradition, for all HBI employees to gather together as a family before the Christmas holidays each year. We give thanks for the blessings of the year and express our sincere gratitude to each other for the time and effort we all devoted to ensure another successful year. Everyone receives a hot breakfast at the shop, new HBI logo shirts, hats, and jackets, and a box of food which includes a turkey, a ham, and all the ingredients necessary for a wonderful Christmas meal. Every year it is a special time for all HBI employees.
