excavation along with foundation preparation,
and installation of a
Roller Compacted Concrete Dam. Groundbreaking

Project Description:
Located in the Patriot Industrial Center in
Henry County, RTI contracted with Haymes
Brothers to perform 700,000 CY of excavation on
a very demanding schedule. The project was
delivered ahead of schedule with the mass
excavation being completed in less than 6
months.

for a multi residential development in
Lynchburg, VA for PEDCOR Company. A very
compact site and hilly terrain required the
installation of multiple retaining walls on the
site in order to complete the grading operations
and deliver the building pads.

Rocky Pen Reservoir Dam Excavation &
Foundation Preparation

Project Description:
This project consisted of 300,000 CY of regular
excavation and 100,000 CY of blasting and rock
excavation along with foundation preparation for a
Roller Compacted Concrete Dam that, when
complete, will form the Rocky Pen Reservoir.
This reservoir will have a surface area of
greater than 600 acres.

Sam's Club
Danville, VA
Project
Description:
Acting as a subcontractor for John S.
Clark Company, Haymes Brothers, Inc. was awarded
the site package for the San's Club in Danville,
VA. Along with a
demanding schedule to have the site prepared the
building pad completion was dependent on the
installation of 30,000 square foot of retaining
walls. The project was delivered on
schedule.

Eastern Guilford High School
Gibsonville, NC
Project Description:
Barnhill Contracting selected Haymes
Brothers to do the grading and site work for the
new Eastern Guilford County High School.
The original school was burned and to get
students back in the school, a temporary site
had to be graded for the installation of mobile
classroom units. Once this was completed
the site was graded for the construction of the
new school.

Wytheville, VA
Project
Description:
Haymes Brothers, Inc. was
contracted contracted by Clayco, Inc. to
complete the site grading for a
713,000-square-foot PET blowmolding plant for
Amcor in Wytheville, Va. Dedicated to the supply
of PepsiCo heat set containers, primarily for
Gatorade, the plant was constructed next to a
recently constructed PepsiCo facility.
